Further more, dark flighting to a running enemy and then using your swipe actually makes you go through them due to the 60% distance increase of Unfettered Assault, allowing for body block manuevers. I take Unfettered Assault instead of Running Wild when using the worgen build because Unfettered Assault allows me to chase in worgen form, which is the primary method of killing peeps when you're using this build. Using Cursed Bullet and dark flight in quick succession when 1v1ing a squishy almost guarantees a kill. Do not jump in as a worgen unless you know you can guarantee a kill. You must know when to jump in and when to poke. Having 10 stacks gives you 30% more AA damage, leading to monstrous damage when in worgen form (you can do about 700 per hit at level 20 in worgen form, the dps is crazy when you have your W activated. You must not trade kills using this build (unless it's like a 1 for 3 trade) because losing wizened stacks loses out a ton of damage. Worgen Basic Attacks cleave for 100% damage. Do not use this build if the enemy team has blinds and stuns, you will have quite the troubling time. The worgen build is high risk but high reward, since it relies on keeping wizened duelist stacks. The alternate build is the worgen AA-focused build, which is good against a team that only has one front liner/low amounts of CC. Go For The Throat can be very good if you are ahead and want to snowball even further. Further more, Cursed Bullet can do more than 2,000+ damage to tanks and around the same amount of damage that Go For the Throat does to squishies. It only has a 30 second cooldown, is much safer to use than Go For the Throat, which has nearly 3x long of a cooldown, for starting off engagements and can even be used to scare enemies away when they're chasing your teammate because the huge 40% chunk of their health being suddenly gone is scary. Honestly at this tier, all talents can be pretty good.Īlways take Cursed Bullet if there two warriors. This basically makes any squishy enemy hero who is trapped in stun dead. Take Executioner if you are paired with heroes with 99 ways to stun or slow like Rehgar, Jaina, and Anub.

Human Basic Attacks splash for 100% damage behind the target.įor level 16, you usually take Eager Wolf but if your team requires more tank-busting ability (usually fulfilled by Cursed Bullet) get Alpha Killer. You want to take cocktail when the enemy team has a strong front line so you can easily splash cocktails on them into their back line and harass their ranged assassins/healer. The most standard build is the cocktail build.

A good Nazeebo may be hard to duel as well. Just avoid Sonya and Lunara 1v1 match ups, as those can be difficult. Greymane is an amazing duelist and can 1v1 nearly anyone once he gets Cursed Bullet. Johanna and Li Li’s blinds reduce Greymane’s ability to poke with AA’s when cocktail is on CD and also diving in for the kill. Anti-dive heroes like BW and Uther make it difficult to secure Worgen kills. Greymane struggles against Brightwing, Johanna, Li Li, Uther. He is good against mages due to his aggressive playstyle and back line poke but I do not recommend playing Greymane against a team that has 101 ways of CC'ing you as soon as you dive in. He goes well with dive enablers like Rehgar and Uther (D-shield), Anub’arak, Tassadar, and Jaina (her slows give Greymane’s executioner huge usage). His best synergies, in my opinion, are with heroes who have high CC to allow Greymane to secure kills. Greymane is a strong sustain damage dealer (with high burst damage once he gets Cursed Bullet) with good waveclear and can fit into essentially any team composition.

I have a 64% winrate, 9.2 T/D ratio, average 19.6 takedowns (8.2 kills/11.4 assists) and 60K hero damage per game on the G-daddy and you can too )

I’m by no means a pro HotS player, but I am master in hero league and have racked up more than 200 games on Greymane and I feel like I should share some tips about my main boi.
